Who are you called to be?
Last year, I was in the midst of struggling who I was “supposed” to be.
I always felt passionate about living a life with purpose, and making each day count… but that seemed impossible when it felt like I was not making any sort of impact day in and day out.
I wanted to be doing so, but just didn’t know how.
Where to Next?
This drove me to a pretty low point. I was ready, willing, and able to make a change, yet it felt like no opportunity presented itself. I wanted change so desperately, yet was clueless on what to change about my life.
In a way, I guess I was waiting for some great breakthrough to magically happen without me having to change anything myself. It was this type of thinking that kept me stuck where I was all along.
It wasn’t an overnight transition to fully discover my purpose in life. As with anything — it takes time. It’s a continual work in progress.
The Power of Daily Actions
When you decide to take control of your OWN life, you will finally discover the power of daily action. Instead of living up to the expectations of your boss, peers, friends, family, or workplace.
If your every action is determined by someone else, it’s impossible to find time for discovering who you’re meant to be.
Who Are YOU?
Ask yourself: Who are you, right now?
- Are you determining that answer yourself, or is your answer wrapped up into what others THINK you are?
- Who are you CALLED to be? You know the thing that you’ve been pushing off. Maybe it has been for a couple weeks, or a couple months, or maybe a couple years…
- When are you going to do something about it? How much longer can you live like this?
What I personally did not understand, was that my journey would not truly “begin” until I took that first step.
The Lord was calling me to something else, and even when it wasn’t exactly clear, I took a leap of faith only to have Him catch me time and time again.
If you calls you to it, He will provide for you through it.
