Are you in a slump?
I’ve gotta be honest, lately I’ve been in a slump.
I haven’t been feeling motivated, and I’m wondering where the excitement I had earlier this year has gone.
A lot has been happening in my life as we navigate moving, house projects, building a business, and trying to take care of my physical health in the meantime…
But with all of these things happening, it can be easy to neglect mental health and clarity.
Don’t make this same mistake I have! 😅
A Bit of Breakthrough
What I found to be the most helpful for me is:
Going to the gym and listening to a podcast.
I hadn’t been listening to podcasts as much as I was earlier this year. For no specific reason other than not knowing what I wanted to listen to.
But the podcast I listened to last week led to a new resource that I simply got really stoked about.
And this excitement for something bled into other areas of my life, and it simply compounds into higher quality of everyday life for me.
Document Your Highs and Lows
This leads me to an important lesson I am currently learning.
Slumps are inevitable. They’re an assured part of life.
But finding and navigating ways to get out of them is important. They are worth noting when you are able to document these transitions.
If you have proven methods of getting yourself out of a slump, then you have ideas to fall back on when you’re feeling lousy.
Who knows how long this motivation will last, but time and time again ACTION proves to be the fuel for my motivation.
Find something to get excited about. No matter how big or small.
Take a walk. Go to the gym. Ride your bike. Take a hike. Consume GOOD things while doing these activities.
And these will likely lead to some fuel for your everyday life.
