Let’s share your story!
Over the past 6+ years, I have been terrible about sharing my work in a timely fashion haha.
One year ago I quit my job at an agency, feeling burnt out of creating and ready for a change.
I was questioning if I’d ever pick up a camera again. I had lost the fun of it. I had lost the curiosity of creating.
I’ve touched on this a bit in previous newsletters, but it was a difficult time for me as a creative! I wasn’t sure how I was going to proceed in my career.
Recharging the Creativity
Throughout the past year I’ve been able to take a step back and give myself some space to think it through. I took a long break from taking photos and making videos, and it was the best thing I could have done.
I’ve reframed what creating means to me. It’s no longer just a job, but rather something I have the opportunity to do. It’s a gift!
Making this change in my mind after a long break from using a camera feels so refreshing. I’m remembering why I picked up a camera in the first place — to bring vision to life and collect memories around me.
Collecting My Work
During the past couple months, I’ve finally been collecting and editing some of my favorite things I’ve created in the past.
It’s amazing the places I’ve been, and the relationships I’ve made because of a camera.
Sometimes I forget how powerful of a tool it is for connection.
I’m excited to continue sharing this side of my life, and to open up the opportunity to work with people/brands/businesses who align with this vision!
